The ARAL Program is a national initiative of the Department of Education designed to support learners in improving foundational skills in reading, writing, and numeracy. It provides structured remediation and tutoring sessions for students who need additional academic support.

Through targeted interventions and guided learning, the program helps ensure that no learner is left behind and that all students can meet essential learning standards.

Brigada Eskwela is an annual nationwide program of the Department of Education that promotes community participation in preparing public schools for the opening of classes. It brings together teachers, parents, students, and volunteers to clean, repair, and improve school facilities.

This spirit of bayanihan strengthens partnerships and ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for all learners.

The School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) is a health and nutrition initiative of the Department of Education that aims to address undernutrition among public school learners. It provides daily nutritious meals to identified students to improve their health, attendance, and learning capacity.

By supporting learners’ nutritional needs, the program contributes to better academic performance and overall well-being.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program is a community-based learning intervention that helps improve the reading skills of struggling or non-reader elementary learners while also providing short-term educational support opportunities for youth tutors and youth development workers.

The Tutoring Session is the core learning activity of the Tara, Basa! Program where trained youth tutors conduct guided reading and literacy activities for elementary learners, particularly struggling readers and non-readers.

The Nanay-Tatay Session is a parent development and engagement activity under the Tara, Basa! Program designed for parents and guardians of learner-beneficiaries. The Nanay-Tatay Session also serves as a venue for parents to share experiences, concerns, and strategies that can help improve their children’s learning and overall development.
